Great Gym!
BIG is a huge facility with great training apparatus. The coaches are knowledgeable and skilled. The place is usually really busy (especially on the weekend). Their prices are a bit higher than other gyms. They run a good recreational program and seem to consistently field a talented competitive team. Most of the coaches are personable and mean well for the children. However, they need to take a good look at which coaches interact with the younger gymnasts because our experience was with a coach who seemed to forget the girls were just 57 year old little girls. She wanted them to behave like little soldiers! When one of the other girls' attention was diverted, she was disciplined in front of the others. Not a comforting sight...The location requires a trudge down 880 near the Fruitvale District in Oakland. Good for a try though./P
