HORRIBLE SERVICE
The food was great but service was awful. I actually have one of those certificates from a website and as soon as the server saw that I have a certificate she made a face. The server looks really fake and not sincere at all. They should hire better waitresses or servers. But the food is great. My husband enjoyed his steak and my plate was okay.

worst place ever!
I went there for my birthday having made reservations in advanced, I got there about 5 minutes late and the girl at the front started giving us attitude, I had reserved for 6 but only 4 of us were there and would not sit us until everyone was there! she didnt even want to give us a table and offered the bar area at the upper level, I should of left but instead got a smaller table and just wanted to eat, the food and drinks were waaaaayyyyyyy over priced and not even that good, it was way too dark in there and I just wanted to get out of there still hungry and bummed for having chosen them to spend my b-day it sucked!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool spot to hang out by Jeime B. at InsiderPages
My best friend had her birthday at Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge. The place is very nice and upscale. We were at the VIP area and we were treated very well. The music was good that night and we had lots of fun. They also served tasty appetizers with our drinks.

it was okay but it attracts the older crowd
I would have to say this place is very nice on the inside. Its a bit small but the lighting and atmosphere is good. Im not to thrilled about the music that they play there. I love motif better. This place attracts the older crowd. It was okay but it wouldnt be my first choice to go.

Overpriced and Overrated.
The bartenders at Fahrenheit are by far the WORST and SNOBBIEST in downtown San Jose.
My girlfriends and I were ready to spend a night out dining and drinking and dancing. Instead of visiting our usual favorite haunts, we thought we'd up the ante and check out Fahrenheit.
I'd listened to some mixed reviews from other people, but I thought I'd try it out for myself!!
Let me be the first to encourage anyone planning on going to Fahrenheit: SAVE YOUR MONEY and enjoy an evening out elsewhere!!
First of all, it took us 20 minutes in a ridiculously short line to get in. The hostess was incredibly rude and walked away from us to deal with something else TWICE! Once we were inside, we headed straight to the bar where we waited another 30 minutes to ORDER our drinks. The bartender was unfriendly [that should have been obvious when he walked by us a few times before even stopping to get our order] and looked at me like I was an absolute moron when I asked for a bottled water. I politely explained that I was the designated driver and he just rolled his eyes and walked away.
Forget trying to find somewhere to sit. And dancing? Forget about it.....there's not enough room to do either. The only redeeming quality is that it's close enough to other, more respectable establishments that are actually fun and happy to have your business.
For a fairly new lounge, the employees seem to be under the impression that they're established enough to snub people at their own discretion.
If I never return to Fahrenheit again, it will still be too soon.

Friday nights are great!
Had a blast here this past Friday night. Came with a birthday group for some appetizers and drinks. Average price and the food was much better than what I would have expected. Had the tuna tartare and mandalay wraps. Both pretty delicious. They had 3 DJ's that night a dinner guy who spun some lounge music and then as it got later the other 2 played more of the typical dance tunes. Great variety of music and I enjoyed the remixes. Really good looking diverse crowd. 5 star experience for me and my friends and we will definitely be back.

Pale in comparison
? pale when compared to other downtown restaurants.
? 1. Completely lifeless waitress: no smile; no eye contact
? 2. Out of stock on beer: We had to take third choice. Bar manager WUWT?
? 3. Food took 37 min to reach table.
? 4. Pan seared scallops were small and mushy. What a rip.
? 5. Asparagus steak rolls were over-cooked and too salty for all four of us.
? 6. ?garlic mashed potatoes? were nothing but mounds of flavorless starch.
Obviously, management and staff don't really care.

San Jose's finest nightlife venue!
Now I've been to all of these other "Ultra Lounges" downtown, but this is the only one thats an actual ULTRA LOUNGE. Now I understand why they have won so many accolades. I went here a couple weeks ago, probably been here a dozen times now. Great door staff, very friendly (I recommend getting on the guestlist, no cover until 11). The vibe inside cant be compared to any other nightlife venue in San Jose, except maybe Koji, yet theres hardly enough people there for that to count. Great looking people, safe and comforting enviroment. You can actually lounge here or go mix it up near the bar or shake it on the dance floor. The bar staff is pretty amazing, they have a few bartenders who do flair, its a pretty awesome show to watch. Never been let down with the music either. Yet to try the food, but maybe I will one of these evenings. Nothing bad to say from my experiences.

THE BEST SERVICE IN TOWN
If anyone is looking for an upscale, fun and not to mention some of the best food in town you need to try going to Fahrenheit! They have some of the best drinks in town with the best bottle service in town. You never have to worry about fights there cause every time I have been there they really make sure everyone is dressed to have a good time and not cause problems. When I have gotten a table there the servers were on top of everything!!! I got my bottle within minutes of ordering it and all my mixers. I recommend anyone to go there if you are looking to have a good time!

not so much
This place is filled with douche-bags and wanna-bes. If you want to hang out with ugly people who think they're the finest, and who think this place is cool, then go there. Obviously they've never been any place better and are highly mistaken! They have extremely lame parties which they try to hype up, everybody that works there is a dork and basically...yeah. Not so much if you've drank wine in south of France.

Great Dining Experience, Sleek Ambiance, Attentive Service, Best Nightlife in Town!
I made dinner reservations there with a group of friends. We were greeted politely upon our arrival and brought to our table which was all ready for us. I was really impressed with the wide array of items on the menu. We started with a few appetizers. The fried calamari still stands out in my mind, it was very tasty and the textures were wonderful. The ahi tuna appetizer was even better! It was probably the best I have ever had. As far as entrees were concerned, everything we ordered was excellent. The garlic noodles are a must! The dishes all came out in a timely manner (I?m the type of person who doesn?t like to feel rushed when eating, nor do I like to wait to too long for my food, so I was very happy with the pace). The prices were more than reasonable, the service was great and the food was delicious.
After dinner, we stayed for a few drinks at the bar. The bartenders were great! All very friendly! We were having such a great time, we decided to stay and get a table. Luckily, they had one available. The table was in the upper lounge area which was great. It gave you the feeling that you were still apart of everything that was going on, but still felt a sense of privacy. The waitress was very polite and courteous. She really treated us like VIP?s. She was accessible, which was a miracle given how busy it was. She even found time to make our drinks for us. I?ve been to many clubs and lounges in San Jose, I must say that this was one of the best crowds I have ever seen. Everyone was having a great time. I would highly recommend Fahrenheit to anyone looking for a great place to eat or looking for a trendy place for a drink.

Great Happy Hour Enviroment & Dining!
Some of my co-workers and I wanted to try something new so we headed over to Fahrenheit after seeing an ad in the Metro. I was quite surprised at the appearance inside, how modern the design was and the ambiance was terrific. We were greeted politely at the door, but rather than sit at a table we opted for the bar. Happy Hour prices were great with $3 specials on all beers, and they had a decent sized selection. The bartender was very courtesy and personable chatting off and on with us and other customers, seemed to be a lot of regulars. After glancing over a menu and being quiet impressed we decided to dine as well. While waiting for our food I glanced around, noticing a very mixed crowd, consisting mainly of young professionals like ourself.
I received my thai chicken breast and again was impressed. One of my co-workers got the garlic noodles w. chicken and enjoyed it also. They definetly take time in preparing their food.
Now I only give an 8, because I cannot comment on the nightlife, though if it is anything like what I experienced during happy hour, I will definetly try coming out sometime.

Terrible Customer Service at such a fancy place.
I'd like to start off by saying that this place is pretty nice and fancy, but thats as good as its gonna get! The employees that work there are pretty rude, yes, the customer service is ridiculous! I really do no have time to write reviews but I made it a point to write about this place. You are expected to order an alocoholic beverage at the bar! If you want to hydrate yourself with water, after all those other drinks you purchased, the bartenders pay NO attention to you.........not even a soda! Its obvious that the bartenders are not there to serve their customers but to keep feeding their pockets. On one occasion, the bartender started to yell at my friend, I think this bartender must have been going through some sort of withdrawal or something. The other bartender noticed that this guy was completely irrate so started helping us and told the other bartender to "be cool" and that guy still kept yelling. Its clear to me that the employees AND the manager there know that there are some customer service issues, Sad to say but I will not visit this place again. I dont understand how this place is considered upscale when the drunkest of the drunk act better than some of the employees that work there.

I agree Fahrenheit has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I agree Fahrenheit has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Me and a couple of girlfriends went out on Sat. 01/27/07 with only about 1 hour before closing and we got in for free because my friend knew the D.J. (About the only good thing) We went to the bar and each took a shot and started dancing the crowd was great and seemed to be having a lot of fun. Then me and another friend went to sit down on a few empty chairs, she got up to go ask the D.J. for a song and when she came back a staff member was sitting in her seat, she asked him if he could move because she was sitting there and he replied "no I work here" she thought she didn?t hear right and asked again, she got the same response then he moved. (oh yeah the staff member was all over this girl they were making out!!!! YUCK!!!!) So I thought it can't possibly get any worse that this?? The club is going to close soon. NO I WAS WRONG!!! I had mentioned to my friend that I was thirsty and wanted some water, so she went up to the bar and I soon followed, She asked the Bartender "can I get some water?" He looked at her like she was stupid and walked away from her, when he came back she asked him again and wanted to know why he walked away, before I knew it they were in a full fledged yelling match and the bartender looked like he wanted to jump over the bar and HURT HER!! Finally another bartender broke it up and gave us 2 water bottles. If it was not for the other bartender I'm sure he would have jumped over the bar because they couldn't calm him down. Then they escorted us out and some BIG GUY with tall hair wanted to know what happened like he really gave a care!! I NEVER IN MY 5 YEARS OF GOING TO CLUBS/LOUNGES HAVE I EVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THAT!!!! Well I'm glad word is getting around-----STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!
Fahrenheit is by far the WORST place in regards to customer service that I have EVER encountered. I reserved a table a week in advance w/ them for a big party during the lounge time. To begin w/, it took them forever to call me back!! Once they took my information down, I had to call 3 times in 2 days in order to get them to call me back for to answer more quetions!! The sales guy promised me a table at 10PM for $200 one bottle minimum. I go there at 10:30PM and my tabel IS NOT EVEN READY. The manager said he would give me the table I asked for, but only when the other customers sitting at my table were ready to get up!!! That was about 11PM. I asked if the manager would give me a discount since my table time just got cut in half. He flat out said NO!! Oh, and I forgot to mention, the 2 sales guys I sent the VIP list to never even printed my guest list.
On top of that, while we were there, we saw a hostess attack a female customer. Is this the kind of people they hire???!!! Would you feel safe when Fahrenheit's own staff would not hesitate to get into a fight w/ you!!! I WILL NEVER MAKE A RESERVATION W/ THEM OR GO BACK B/C THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!!

Nice space
So a friend of mine just moved to San Jose so I went to visit her. This was the first place we went to. I really liked the space - modern and roomy. The dance floor is a bit on the smaller side, but since there weren't too many people when we arrived it was ok.
Drinks were good, minus the curdled buttery ni**les that were served to us.
It reminded me of a bar that would be in San Francisco, which I thought wasn't possible in San Jose.

Nice Place for a Meal and a Drink
Fahrenheit is a nice place to come to for a bit to eat and have a drink afterwards in a hip environment. They serve Asian Fusion style food here. The food quality and portion sizes here are good. A person can get by on making a meal out of their small plate options. The prices are on the high side, but you expect that going into this place. Service quality is good here too. They have a big drink selection and had a couple of drinks that night after it changed from a resturant to a club. Prices again are on the high side, but they serve everything in bigger than average glasses. Bar is really nice but the bartenders tend to be slow on the service. Also there was no dance floor. Not sure if it was because of a big party of 30 people there that night, but the place didn't have a dance floor. Also the place is on the small side, so I can see how on a busy night this place can be crowded and almost claustrophibic. Overall it's a good place to come to if you can get right in, but I wouldn't wait longer than 10 minutes for either the club or the resturant.

Good for dinner and jazz
The first and only time I went was on a Wednesday for their jazz nights. Wanted to give them a chance to impress without going through the wild and crazy weekend experience. Food was good, not spectacular but I would probably eat here again. The band played well and we felt entertained. The place was about half full which isn't bad for a Wednesday night. Obviously you'll get your slightly older crowd but sometimes you just want to relax and listen to jazz and eat your meal in peace without drunken 18, I mean 22 year olds spilling their cosmos on you. I think they'll do okay if they keep a variety of nights like this available all week.

By Far Classiest and Hip Spot in San Jose!
Had dinner here on a Saturday night, was very pleased with the dishes and service. My party and I hung out for after dinner cocktails, as the swanky restaurant morphed into a hip night spot. I was surprised as to how quick the spot got packed. With a slight line peeking around the venue. What was a dinner and a cocktail turned into a great night of mingling and dancing. Definetly a spot I will attend again with friends. Great young and classy crowd, fair prices with the cocktails not too stiff.

Not worth the trip out in the cold!
This place would be cool if there was a) some sort of crowd....went on a Friday night and it was dead b) if the bartenders were'nt busy flirting with each other and ignored you c) having to wait outside in line when there is only 2 other people in front of you.
Come on Fahrenheit show some love to your willing PAYING customers!!!

SO nice & SO much fun!!
I don't know what's up w/ everyone who despised Fahrenheit cuz this is THE nicest ultra lounge in the South Bay. My friend had her birthday party this weekend & we all (25 of us) had a blast! The staff is SO warm 'n welcoming .. the decor is speckless .. & the music just grooves on all night. Plus, the patrons aren't your usual college crowd .. there were also professionals out for a good time. Again, the staff was amazingly friendly .. even the bouncer, Rudy was a sweetheart .. and the patrons were there to mingle too!! The food was good (esp the Chicken w/ Cocnut Rice) but with drinks, you may want to ask it to be a bit stronger then their usual standard. But yeah .. the ambience was unreal .. music, decor, people .. I felt like I was in SF :)

Was walking through downton with fellow grad students looking for a place to have lunch. Went in to Fahrenheit Lounge / Restaurant for a bite to eat. The place has the most exquisite lunch plates. What to do on a Saturday Night
Likes: location, good music, nice atmosphere, fire slinging bartenders
Dislikes: hip hop/house played after midnight
DJ Dana and DJ Orio work together to bring energy and funk to San Jose. It really heightens the experience to see them feed mixes off of each other and actually have fun doing it.

Great place for a date!
I have been to Fahrenheit many times for the late night dinner and dancing. Off the hook! One Wednesday night, I was looking for a place to take my new date. Wanted to treat her nice, but not too over the top, and a little less pressure. Fahrenheit was perfect. There was no cover charge this night. I think they only charge cover after 10:30pm on weekends. Sometimes I have gone and they had no cover on the weekend. Who knows... This night, we relaxed in the upscale lounge setting, while listening to the live jazz. She wanted a bite to eat with our cocktails, so we ordered the Calamari. WOW! was it good. Needless to say, the rest of the evening ended up exactly where I had hoped... :)

RUDE!!!
Dont go to this bar/club unless you want to be treated badly and ignored. The bartenders make great drinks and a couple of them were really friendly and great but the rest of the staff there need to understand who is keeping them in business and take some customer service classes! The bouncers are rude and very unfriendly. Overall, with some attitude adjustments from the staff this bar/club might actually be good.

Class brought to San Jose
Simply put it's a beautiful upscale lounge which is hard to come by in San Jose. Whether you go for a quick after work drink or a bite to eat on the weekends it's a place to check out. During the week and early evenings the atmosphere is more relaxed, especially nice if you're dining. On the weekends the lounge livens up with more of a party atmosphere. Their waitstaff is friendly but once they fill up it can be hard to find the cocktail waitress unless you have a reserved table.
On the restaurant end the food is quite good, everything from delicious prawns to beef-wrapped asparagus. I'd suggest ordering a few dishes to experience the many tantalizing flavors. It's also a great place to take a date for the sexy intimate atmosphere.

Bring Lounge Culture to Next Level
Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge supplied us with a unique atmosphere and captivating style through its decor giving us a feeling of seduction fueled by vivid changing ceiling colors, video and music. The attention to detail is limitless from the intimate seating that invited all to an intriguing night of conversation.
The decor was just one of the things we looked forward to. The wide open space of cool surrounded us with DJ and live music and an array of the most popular drinks. After enjoying our drinks, we had tapas that delightd our senses. The food was excellent and the presentation even better. The bartenders put on an awsome show with their flaring and tossing.
Fahrenheit is an experience worth remembering. Try it! We love it, and will return often.

Something to Shout About
Walking past the huge windows with curtains drawn at 99 E San Fernando, San Jose, you cannot help but stop and try to peer in. You wonder, just what's in there? The answer is Fahrenheit. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, it's a scene. Beneath the ceiling, pulsating rhythms blast from a deejay stationed high above the action.
During the week at lunch it is more subdued. On both trips, though, the menu made it fun to choose lunch from the tapas selections.

I got dragged out the other night to this place, I should have stayed home. I could have gone to the store for the booze, frozen the ice and mixed my own drink faster and better than what I received here. Fahrenheit is HOT!!!
I went to Fahrenheit for my birthday with a group of about 20 people, each one more different than the next, and EVERYONE had a blast!! The DJ played a good mix, the drinks were great and the staff was a blast to be around. One of the owners hung out with us for a bit and one of the bartenders did an amazing fire show. All in all the whole vibe of this "Ultra-Lounge" is great, it's unlike anything else available to us in the South Bay and conveniently located downtown. The drinks are a bit pricey but they are worth every drop!! They use three types of infused vodkas and I don't even drink vodka but I had to have a martini!! Also, between the group of us we tried everything on the food menu and it was all good!! Bottom line... GET TO FAHRENHEIT!!!

fahren-hype!
I have never had more horrible service, completly ignored this place obviously does not realize they are in downtown san jose not santa row. If you do manage to get a drink from one of the many bartenders, who are pretending they dont see you, it is sure to be outrageously overpriced and underpoured! Realizing they are a new establishment I've given them a few chances to redeem themselves, and each time I became even more certain that this place is a failure. Apparently Im not the only one with this opinion, the place is always dead. I give them a year...

Great New Place to Lounge
Fahrenheit has a nice vibe- chic, modern decor, a diverse friendly crowd. The place was full, but not so busy that you couldn't get a drink in a timely manner, or find a banquette or other place to relax.
The only downside was the drinks are a bit pricey, and the music kind of sucks- the d.j. doesn't transition well from one song to the next, and doesn't seem to have a good feel for what the crowd would like to hear.
Other than that, this is a great new place to hang out!
