BE AWARE!!
"Be aware!!! Vincent is a total liar. I talked to Vincent on Sunday, Feb 8th,. I advised him that I need someone that can turn around the appraisal report a.s.a.p. He went on to say that he can do it in one day, and the cost would be $350. I was stoked, I figured this was to good to be true but went with it anyway.
The next day, I immediately phoned my lender and advised him of Vincent's services. They then ordered them that Tues. When I called Vincent he said that he would either get out to the property on weds or Thrs at the latest. I stressed to him the urgency of the appraisal report as I needed to have the loan contingencie removed by Thrs 2/19 and he said no poblem. I decided to dorp off a check for the appraisal, Tues evening. I figured might as well get it out of the way, so I can make sure it did not get lost in the mail. I thought I was taking it to an office but to my dismay, it was his home. I gave the check to his wife, and let him know I dropped it off. All was good.
Thrs I called him, to see if he was going to be able to make it to the property. To my surprise, he was able to make it on Weds, so I was even more happy because he said his turn around time was 1 day, so I figured the report would be ready in no time. As we were on the phone I stressed to him again, how badly the repot needed to be given to my lender. He assured me he would get it done. After that I just put my faith in him, after all he came off as pretty cool guy, who knew what he was doing.
Friday 2/13 rolls around and still no report. According to my lender Vincent said that the report would be ready by Friday evening or Monday at the latest. i said o.k. I did not call Vincent since my lender was already communicating with him, and did not give off any problems. Then Tues, (today 2/17) is here. Still no report. My lender called me around 10 am and said that Vincent promised the report in an hour.5 pm this afternoon, I get a call from my lender, still not report. According to him Vincent changed his time and said before 5pm. Still no report. You catch my drift right?
Anyway, at that point I was furious. Vincent knew how important it was for me to have this report but didnt care. I can not believe it is taking this long for a report. I have called him several times, left several messages and still no reponse. Stupid, me I paid up front with out the work being done which is a huge no no. The check has been cashed and now I am in contact with the fraud dept of my bank to get my $350 back. Looks like the loan contingencie will not be able to be removed by the deadline, so I am shit out of luck. Now I have to find another appraisal and fork out more money in the mean time.
