| Every night is a special one at Monaghan's. Come to the Marina and kick back with us, no attitude, just good drinks, a friendly staff and good times. We've got happy hour Monday-Friday from 4pm-7pm and late night specials Monday-Thursday from 11pm-2am. For other specials, see below.
Sunday Bloody Sunday: Half-priced Bloody Mary's; Monday Industry Night: $2 wells, $3 drafts, and $2 fernet; Tuesday Flip Night: Flip a coin, guess right, and your drink is $1; Wednesday: Guest bartending and $3 Jack Daniels, SoCo & Don Eduardo Tequila; Thursday Ladies Night: half-priced drinks for ladies. |

In Short
This wood-paneled watering hole--decked with shaded lamps and golf-themed artwork--feels like a grandfather's rec room. Never overly crowded, it attracts a blazers-and-jeans clientele, from silver-haired businessmen to younger sports fans catching a game on one of five TVs. On quiet midweek nights, regulars grab a cocktail or one of eight tap beers and hit the small "library" in the back, filled with donated books.

When to Go
Get free hot dogs during Monday Night Football. When the 49ers play, customers bring in food of their choice for everyone, from chicken wings to homemade spaghetti.
The Extras
Windows operates a golf club in conjunction with the Northern California Golf Association. Membership is $75, which earns members refunds on the first two tournaments they play in.

The happy hour from 4-6pm is a lot of fun. They have well drinks for $2.50 and $3 drafts. Every night there is a special and the staff is very friendly. Great for young professionals looking to relax after work.

Highly recommended at happy hour
I usually go to this place for thier fabulous happy hour, but have been bored by thier young bartenders, that only keep deep conversations with thier own friends, but low and behold, one day I walk in and there is this super friendly, pretty gal behind the bar, making something with homegrown blackberries.
Monaghans is NOT the kind of bar for muddled drinks and mint sitting on the bar top !
Anyway, I had one of Victoria's tequila, blackberry concoctions, and knew at that moment that this bar is ready for an overhaul. Sadly, the other bartenders refuse to follow her lead. She is one of the classics, that learned from her father and grandfather how to run a great bar, so if you want a great drink, something different for the Marina, see her early in the week. Happy Hours !
Monaghans is now even better, in the day, especially if you don't want to deal with the yuppies at night.

New Hot Bartender
This web site for Monaghans, need to be updated, and the outside of this place needs to be scrubbed, the interior needs more ambiance, but other than that, this place is really cool , now that one of the city's best bartenders works there !
Talk about a bar that got lucky !
This bar has killer happy hours, and specialty cocktails Mon, Tue, Wed.
Go there often and meet the new girl.

My new favorite place!!
OK the review needs to be updated!!! Monaghans has changed so much, flat screen tv's drink specials on weeknights and weekends. Is packed every weekend and many weeknights. Great place to watch a game and the books have been replaced with a great jukebox and a golden tee games for those boys who just can't get enough. As for the bar staff, the nighttime crew is fantasic, and not so shappy on the peepers either! Always smiling, joking, and having a good time. If you come in twice, they'll know your name and have your favorite drink on the bar before you can ask for it!! Can't ask for much more. It's also a great place for any age group. Not the frat house that Bar None is, but a fun place for friendly folks. Go try it out and tell 'em you heard it here from me!
