No closet space, Laundry utilities that take your money and do not wash and dry, having to go outside the building.
When you leave count on them taking at least $400 dollars even if you leave the apartment spotless cleaning underneath stove and refrigerator and paying for carpet cleaning. This people are thieves with a license to steal.

I followed the rules, but I still hated the management
The management at this place is the main reason why anyone should RUN AWAY. They will ignore you if you dare to complain about their family members.
They rented out apartments across from mine to family members of the gen. manager and property manager, who regularly leave their door open during loud family gatherings and leave the door open in general, allowing their small dog (which is not allowed on the lease but apparently they're an exception) to wander around the hallway and snap at people. They also treat the hallway like a daycare and I have regularly had to stop children from wandering away or running into the parking lot! Neither parents nor management have been concerned by this. These people are also LOUD and completely ignore the 'quiet time' hours. Again, I have complained and management does nothing or will loudly talk about me in Spanish in front of my door, as if I won't understand. (Come on, I live in California. I know what 'puta' means, and I know enough to recognize my own damn name.)
That's right; I said the MANAGER talked shit about me in Spanish, loudly, in front of my door, when she knew I was home.
I would never EVER recommend this place to ANYONE, even my worst enemy. My time living here has been a living hell.

Some people don't like changes, but Oakland needs change!
This place is managed by a professional team (separate, unrelated) that lives on site. No games, just good service.
It has undergone two decades of steady rehabilitation and upgrading.
There are still a few residents from years ago that don't like the changes and don't like rules.
Ignore them.
This place is awesome!
