I found the best massage therpist
I had been to Skin Fitness a couple years before for massage, I received a massage from Rina. I was not too blown away by the massage. It was lack luster... Recently I found out they had a couple new massage therapists and decided to try again, this time I received a massage from Shakila and it was the best massage ever. Best Massages
I have been receiving massages for years at various spas and I find that the two massage therapists at Skin Fitness - Shakila and Rena are superior. I always receive a deep tissue massage with great results, all of my sore areas and knotty areas on my back are always relieved when I am through. I highly recommend either of the ladies. The very best ....
These ladies know their stuff....Olga is the most talented nail professional I've ever known, and I've been getting my nails done since 1978. She takes her time to get it done right. I was having problems with tips with a gel overlay, and she solved the problem by suggesting another gel type nail.....they look beautiful, and I get compliments on my nails constantly. She's the best!!! Her pedicures are amazing too! I met Amanda after getting my nails done at this salon, and she recommended a haircut for me that actually works! I can style it at home (which is a first for me!) and it looks great all the time. She took time during my first haircut appointment to listen to what I wanted, and together we found a cut and color that I truly love. Great massage!
I had a great first experiences at SkinFitness a few weeks ago. Reena was my massage therapist and was very attentive to the sore spots on my body and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the whole massage. She was also great to talk with and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. The only complaint is that I thought the room was a little cool for me, but I felt fine after getting under the covers for the massage. I will be back for sure. (christinetan, 09/07/2008)

Great Experience- Worth Every Penny!!
I booked a massage, facial, and haircut for my wife and I and receive a great experience! Shakila and Rena were our massage therapists and before we started our session they asked us a few questions about what type of massage we were looking for and they really delivered!! I was so relaxed after our session that I wanted to stay in the room and sleep for twenty minutes. Our facials were done in their duetto suite, which was cool because we were in a the same room receiving services together. I have never had a facial before, I know understand why my wife gets them all the time- it was very soothing and my skin felt great!! After our massage and facial we got our hair done and we saw Alley and Amanda and they both did a great and were pleasant with their conversation!! I felt like a thousand bucks leaving this place and their front desk staff was good compared to other spas we have been to. All in all, i give this place a great rating. Wasn't satisfied w/ massage =/
I received a massage from Rena and thought it was going to be relaxing & calm BUT that was not the case. My therapist was venting to me about all the office drama that had been going on at the spa. She talked about how she thought the receptionists didnt do their job and how inadequate the manager is. I felt more stressed out after receiving the massage if thats possible. I would not visit them again unless its a different therapist (she might be the only one there) If its possible request someone other then Rena. (Jenn908, 03/17/2008)

I recieved their email and went in on a Wednesday evening and got a massage with Rena and I got a complimentary ten additional minutes and I got a very relaxing facial with Ennee. Im a regular here and they always take care of me!!
They have a great warm environment! I come here quite often for multiple services and everyone is always professional and always makes sure that I am taken care of. Lisa does wonderul facials and is highly knowledgeable about Skin care. I got to Rena for massage and have tried Kirsten who is also wonderul. Their stylists always have new things to introduce me to and provide a great consultation before they start. They also carry great skin care products and carry pureology and eufora. I always choose Skin Fitness Day Spa & Salon for my massages, skin-care products, and facials. The place is a very professional, clean, and affordable spa that is not 100miles away. I used to go to a place several cities away but for about two years now I have used Skin Fitness. I am not sure about the last rating but everytime I get my massage, Reyna does a wonderful job. If she's too hard on me I ask her politely to lessen the pressure and she does it with no problem. She even took the time out to ask if she was still too hard during my session. Maybe it takes time for them to know new clients' need, but trust me once they do you will not be disappointed. I myself was suprised that there was a hygenic spa nearby, located right in the Fremont Hub! I can run errands, go get a massage and then pick up dinner all in one place! Sometimes the place can get really busy, there can be some noise but the seperated area for the massage rooms perserve the tranquility of a Spa at a resort. If I do run into any problems the front desk girls' are always willing to help me and if they can't the manager is readily available to do so. Awesome Hair Stylist Amanda Pagan!
I've been to a bunch of different salons in the area and I feel that Amanda is one of the best that I have met yet. She really listened to what I was looking for and thoroughly explained what shampoo and conditioner would be best to preserve my new color (I also liked the decor of the salon as well). I would highly recommend her! She also does great make up. When booking with her ask the front staff to book a lip and eye make up touch up so you can leave the salon looking absolutley amazing! One of the better customer service Spas in the Alameda area
My experience at Skin Fitness is always great, I am a frequent customer and they always treat me with the best customer service. Other day spas I have visited around my area never give me as much help as Skin Fitness, they are always too busy or the atmosphere is too hectic. At other places they just dont give you the feeling of being important, I don't know about you but I think being at a day spa means getting pampered in a stress free environment. Their web page is also very appealing and easy to navigate. I love the Skin Fitness atmosphere, you get a stress free feel with down to earth employees always ready to show they care for you and what they are doing. If problems do arise they are great at connecting you with the right person to fix whatever may be. They also have great specials which are advertised every month and available gift certificates. Worst Customer Service, Best Facial!
When booking services, make sure what you ask for is what you will get on the day of your appointment. I received a different body wrap from what I had requested and the manager was very rude in the way she handled the situation. However, Ennee and Reina were the best! I received a wonderful facial from Ennee and Reina was extremely friendly and great with the body wrap. My advice is that if you are unhappy with the service you received, try speaking to the staff and they will refer you to the right person to resolve the problem. (mrscadapan, 06/08/2006)

Best Spa in East Bay
I loved the atmosphere of the friendly and helpful staff. They were kind in telling me about the services that they offer and they gave me a tour of the lovely spa and salon. I got my hair colored in the salon and not only was the stylists adorable, but they were so kind and made me feel special by catering to my every need. The 2nd stylist was not very helpful. She basically just cut & colored- she was more interested in the client next to me and talked to them the entire time. Not very friendly. Went back for a 2nd time for a masg. & haircut, the masg. was okay. I guess Nordstroms spoiled me & for the same price I was expecting a plush robe & foot soak. My haircut - Jenna didn't even dry my hair!She barely shampooed my hair and treated me like I was a piece of crap that she's trying to sshhoo out the door fast! I left in tears. Been to salons from Bev.Hills to SF, never been treated so rudely! We'd like to feel pretty when we go to salons, I felt like crap walking out of this place and this is supposed to be a treat for Mother's day, what a treat! Great Spa, but beware the customer service
Great mani/pedi and Kelly is fantastic with the wax, but watch out for the confirmation calls. I have been to the spa three times. Two out of the three confirmation calls have screwed up my appointments. They confirm the services and the times, but when you show up the services and/or scheduled appointments written into the appointment book is incorrect. Be sure to call yourself the day before and the day of to confirm your appointment and services you are to received; even if the Spa calls to confirm. (iliving, 03/06/2005)

They are the best for a reason!
This place is absolutley wonderful! Everytime I come in for my apt there is always a front desk member who greets me with a warm smile. The ambiance and atmosphere is very relaxing and they have wonderful customer service. The facility is very clean! I have not been to a spa/salon that is consistently that clean. The knowledge of skincare and haircare is superb. new look at massage
i'v had a headach for weeks. i hadnt recvd a massage in litteraly years, and then i wasnt impressed. but i had to do something. so i saw kellie for my massage and b4 she even began she asked me questions to see what was going on with me. she immdeiately change my sweedish massage to their neck back & shoulder massge. after an hour of the best relaxion i have had in months i instantly felt no pain and i felt really loose. she instructed me on some daily exercizes and streches, and to drink alot more water. it has been over a week now and still no headach. she has informed me of how important massage was. i actually took her advise, looked up on the internet "benefits of massage" and had no idea! i made 6 future appointments to keep up this new healthly life style. Best Massage Ever!
I recieved a Hot Stone massage from Kellie and my wife recieved an aromatherapy massage from Rena and it was just wonderful. They incoporate hot neck pillows and cold eye pillows into the massage- very soothing! I've been to many resort spas when I go on vacation and these massages where the best I have ever had. Great hair salon!
I had seen this salon while driving by and read reviews from citysearch. I agree that this place is great! I got my hair cut and styled just the way I wanted it to look. The hairdresser spent lots of time talking to me about my needs and expectations. People couldn't stop raving about my hair when I left the salon. In addition, I had some waxing done. I bought my wife a gift certificate for her birthday and their concierge staff really helped me out in choosing the right gift for her. They thoroughly explained all their services in detail and left a great impression with me. I knew my wife was going to enjoy her visit here- and she loved it!
