The cutest hotel in palo alto / silicon valley / stanford area. And the cheapest to boot? WHOAH!
I gotta admit... this was bizarre. My hubby decided to whisk us away for two nights.
Where? What romantic wonderful vacation was this?
It was one that was 3 blocks away. Yeah... no kidding. He had everything packed and I was so giddy and we drove 3 blocks. Thanks hubb. Yeah.
But then we roll up to this place I drive by all the time. It is a fixture, and has been there for*EVER*... across from the Sundance where we had a great dinner, and right next to the El Camino Starbucks off Stanford by the grad housing.
Anyhoo... it was incredibly cute. And so relaxing. And the service was solid. And the bed was what was important... I jealously suggest it was better than ours.
The waffle bar and breakfast was AWESOME.. and part of the rate.
I was just stunned.... something that is totally affordable and right in my backyard?
Thanks for being there guys! I had no idea. Sort of feel bad now. What's better is that I will be able to shove my mom-in-law and her drunken new boyfriend (I am sure they are not online, don't worry) out that door and into Stanford Terrace Inn's. It was lovely to get away and have them watch the kiddos.... but it will be even better to get them out and just live like normal people.
