very chic and trendy
Very sleek? the bar is awesome with really good drink specials . The d?cor is really chic and trendy and definitely doesn?t feel like your typical, smelly bowling alley. My first few times to Strike it was quite crowded and one time there was a bit of a wait, but my boyfriend and I were able to keep ourselves entertained playing pool until our lane was available. I decided it was time for a night out with the girls last week and got smart and called in advance. The front desk girl was very helpful and I ended speaking with the reservation department. Everything ran super smooth; I made my reservation without much hassle and was able to order some yummy appetizers in advance. Reservation or not, I always have an awesome time and will be back very soon!

SO much more than just a regular bowling alley
They have the most amazing atmosphere, glow-in-the-dark bowling all day, a fabulous arcade, good food, and the staff is super nice too! Couldn?t have made a better choice by booking my son?s 10th birthday party here. My son and his friends had such a great time that he has been raving about it for weeks! I had such a great experience that I?ve decided to book my husband?s birthday party here as well. I?m looking forward to it already!

FANTASTIC Birthday!
Last weekend I celebrated my husband?s birthday here with friends and family. It was FANTASTIC! I called ahead and spoke to one of their event planners and she helped my get everything booked. She made it as easy as possible for me so that I didn?t have to worry about a thing that night. They had some great packages that included everything from the bowling, food, and even the bar. The packages made it really affordable. We had enough lanes for all of us, and some great food and drinks to go with it! They have a really well stocked bar, which is important with my friends, and they set the buffet up right behind our lanes. I even had a place to display the birthday cake!

Great place for a date
I took my girlfriend here on friday night, wasnt sure how the idea of bowling on a date would go over, but now she cant stop talking about it.
I had heard from a bunch of people that Strike is always hoppin, so we decided to go a little earlier and maybe grab some food there. When we got there, we asked how long the wait was. The counter girl said there wasnt so we decided to head to the restaurant since we could see there were some lanes open. We had the quesadillas as an appetizer (outstanding) and some burgers and fries. Topped it all off with a few drinks, and we were ready for bowling.
We were able to get a lane right away, picked up our shoes and we were off. Things started off a little shaky (guess i was a little rusty since my 8th birthday party) but once I got in the swing of things, there was no stopping me. I wish the same could be said for my girlfriends game, but she had a great time bowling gutterballs and drinking.
A repeat visit is definitely in our future. Hopefully my girlfriend can break 50 next time

You have to go to STRIKE!!!
This place is totally cool. Definitely not your normal bowling alley... think upscale and trendy. Great for a group of friends looking for fun. The coolest bowing alley I have ever been too!

great deal on a monday night
A bunch of us headed over to Strike on mon night where they have UNLIMITED bowling for 16 bucks between 9PM and 1AM (this also included shoes, which is cool).
The place has an awesome vibe and its cool to bowl with glow in the dark lanes and colored pins. The drinks are nice and strong and they have a lot of good beers on tap. Food is really good, had a couple of snacks to keep us going during our bowling marathon. If bowling isn't quite up your alley, they have a pretty big arcade as well as pool tables.
If you're looking for a fun night out with friends, Strike definitely tops the list.

EXPENSIVE by Stefanie Y. at InsiderPages
Strike Bowling is a fantastic place to try to liven up Vallco. The bowling arena is definitely a lot nicer than Homestead Lanes and it is more hip. They have pool tables, an arcade center, and also a bar. The con to Strike is that everything is very expensive. If you're willing to pay the extra cash for a nicer venue then I suggest going to Strike.

Poor Customer Service by Lanna M. at InsiderPages
Nice place to bowl, but can get pretty pricey on the weekends. Has a Dave & Buster feel to it with the bar, lounge area, and games.
If you're looking more to lounge and have a few drinks, I would recommend going somewhere else. I came here once for my husband's birthday with a group of friends and had a sour experience at the bar. I'm a very light drinker and can usually taste the slightest bit of alcohol when others can't taste it all. I ordered a midori sour and it was just really too sweet without the slightest trace of alcohol. I asked if they could do something about the sweetness because it was really undrinkable. The bartender and manager absolutely refused to do anything and were really rude about it too. My other friends' drinks were watered down as well.

Too trendy, not enough GLO in glo-bowling
We've been here 3 times, so it's not that bad, we just don't know better.
Glow bowling? Not really. A few blue lights, so don't get too excited. Nothing glows.
Service is good! A tad expensive, but who cares after a few beers?
Convenient as hell, just walk to the movies afterwards, dinner, whatever.
A little too metrosexual, playing the whole after-hours swank thing. So, kind of eew.

Fun, Fun, Fun!
OMG...totally a fun time. Bowled terribly and laughed a lot! Can't wait to do it again. We were there for a friends birthday and had a blast. Music, vibe and people were just right.

Worst service ever!!!
I was there last night having dinner with my boyfriend. We ordered food and 5 margaritas. But when we got the bill, the total came out to $121.00. We spoke to a guy with long spikey hair and glasses. The bill said that we ordered 10 drinks ? 5 silver patron and 5 margaritas. When we asked him why we were being charged for 10 drinks which would average out to each margarita being $16, he said that the 5 silver patron was the alcohol that was in our margaritas and that we?re charged separately for it. He didn?t sound like he even knew what he was talking about and then he walked off. When he came back, he said that it was the computer?s fault and he apologized. We were irritated because instead of personally taking responsibility for lying to us, he blamed it on the computer. He was trying to con us out of $40. Then he gave us attitude and said, ?Well I said sorry already,? and walked off.

Poor customer service
I had been to Strike a few times and never had I had a problem until today. I was reading up on some of the comments left by a few customers, and yes...I do agree to some points of what was left.
The service is not exceptional as I had experienced it today. I usually do not voice my concerns upon an establishment unless it is one that deals with unprofessional behavior. When I approached the bar, the bartender served me rather rudely. I didn't want to order anything after that since it looked like she hated what she was doing at that point. I told the manager about it (which happened to be three of them together at one time hanging out- they were working the establishment together, I presume). Anyhow, it was a surprise to me when one of them walked away when I was sharing my concern, another one of them was not even looking at me, and the other seemed to have been poking fun at what I had to say. I told them about the bartender's portrayal of customer service as I had seen it. The manager who was listening to me defended the bartender and said, "they must be overwhelmed right now because there are a lot of people." He then said, "well, how's your drink, is it strong enough for you? The best way to have vodka is on the rocks!" At that point, I was thinking...alright, well, maybe he's not taking me seriously, obviously...so I'll just walk away.
I had never been confronted with this kind of service, especially from a manager. The manager may have been joking around, but I think it was totally uncalled for, especially if it deals with a complaint that may affect their establishment. Hopefully, in the future, they will resolve issues of poor service so that customers may leave their facility feeling satisfied with their experience.

poor service
I stopped by for a beer and to catch the Monday night NFL game. I sat at a tale behind the bar seats and waited for service. The dining area was not very busy and the girls in Santa costumes were standing around chatting with each other. I waited patiently for almost 20 minutes before being asked if i had been served yet. I haven't tried the food but it looked good. Not sure yet if I'll go back.

Fantastic
Strike completely blew me away. Walking in, you really can't believe how fantastic the design and energy is - it really is a unique property. First of all, Strike is BIG. Lots of bowling lanes (34), a huge bar with about 50 high def plasmas and big screens, a sports ticker, a big restaurant and a large arcade. When I went there, the place was busy with a very hip crowd, lots of couples on dates, come hipsters competing and a cool bar scene. I also noticed a couple of corporate parties going on.
The lanes glow with a cool blue iridescence and even though Im a pretty average bowler, I thought the whole bowling experience was really good. There are comfortable couch like seats to chill in while you wait for your turn to bowl. And the service was excellent, very friendly and efficient and the waitress was quite attractive. Drinks can be strong but are tasty! Fodd was really good. Try the popcorn shrimp, the artichoke dip and the sliders. And the prices are reasonable, cheap almost, for a property this high end. 5 of us went on a Thursday night and got out for about $35 each including bowling, shoes, food and drinks. A lot cheaper than anywhere else we might have gone that night.

Interesting but expensive and poor service.
As of 8/2007 the cost for bowling for 2 kids and an adult was about $32 per hour plus around $14 for shoe rental. With two non-alcoholic drinks and an appetizer the cost for 3 games approached $75 (about 1.5 hours of bowling).
The lane jammed frequently ? had to go to the desk 3 times to ask to reset the lane and no credit given on the hourly rate.
It took 50 minutes to get served after placing an order for food. Manager did apologize.
Also went to the arcade it was expensive and the above stated cost didn't include the cost of the games.
Very nice environment and some employees were great but no interest in going back.
